// Jennifer "Blast" Barry Biography

Jennifer Barry is an alternate American Gladiator. Her nickname for the show is Blast and she is a lifestyle and fitness Coach when she is not in the arena.

Jennifer Barry, aka Blast, has over ten years of education and experience in the personal fitness field. Not only is Jennifer Barry a fitness guru she also got her first college degree in Marketing from Northeastern University. Blast is currently working on her second degree which will be in exercise science management. So ‘Blast' has brains too.

Jennifer Barry's national certifications include National Academy of sports Medicine, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and Madd Dog Spin. Blast has held such prestigious positions as a staff member at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At MIT Blast was a college level Physical Education instructor.

Blast has also won awards for her hard work in physical fitness. In 2006 Jennifer Barry won the "Fitness Instructor of the Year" award.

Jennifer Barry's views on fitness emphasize that there are no short cuts and that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to get to and maintain optimum physical conditioning. This is at the center of Blasts training business where she helps to ‘fitness up' many well known people in the Boston area with her expertise.

Jennifer Barry, aka Blast, continues instructing classes and trains clients for numerous Boston fitness clubs in the city even while filling in as an alternate on the popular show American Gladiators.

As well, Blast offers life coaching in order to motivate clients and to help them overcome weight loss and training issues.

Also amount Jennifer's talents and knowledge is the ability to offer nutritional counseling also to her clients when she is not appearing on the show.

Jennifer's name sometimes gets misspelled and gets confused with Jennifer Berry who was a Miss American contestant.

Jennifer Barry, aka Blast, may very well be the all around complete package to represent a strong woman with brains.
